Under Section 43a Para 4 of the Federal Lawyers’ Act (BRAO), lawyers are prohibited from representing conflicting interests. Consequently, before taking on any case, we will always seek to ascertain whether a conflict of interests arises.


Out-of-court resolution of disputes

Where disputes arise between lawyers and their clients, there is the option to approach the regional bar association for mediation and out-of-court resolution, i.e. the Düsseldorf Bar Association or the Berlin Bar Association (Section 73 Para 2 No.3 in combination with Section 73 Para 5 of the Federal Lawyers’ Act BRAO) or alternatively the conciliation service of the Federal Bar Association (Section 191f BRAO) which is to be found on the internet at www.brak.de (e-mail schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).
