Public Procurement Law

As a result of European legislation, the awarding of contracts by public bodies has in many instances become actionable in law. This has resulted in the abandonment of certain habitual practices on both sides of the tendering process. This area of the law is one in which outcomes are determined by court rulings, so both contracting parties should ensure that they have access to good advice. As errors often cannot be corrected retrospectively, it is necessary to have legal advice available at every stage of a project.

We advise our clients in the context of awarding construction contracts (VOB/A), non-construction contracts (VOL/A) and freelance service contracts (VOF/A). This involves acting in an advisory capacity to awarding bodies and bidding companies alike. Furthermore, we represent our clients in review procedures conducted by procurement chambers and regional courts.
